Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-11-01

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of hercules.ac and the Hercules Anticheat software and cloud service (together, the "Service"), operated by an individual sole proprietor based in the United States ("Hercules", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Hercules Anticheat is anti-cheat software for Minecraft servers, sold as a monthly subscription. It consists of a plugin installed on your server and an online service operated by us.

After payment, access is delivered digitally and immediately through your dashboard on hercules.ac, where you can download the plugin and find your license key. Nothing is shipped physically.

2. Accounts

You need an account with a verified email address to buy a plan, open support tickets or send bypass reports. You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms and is responsible for any payment.

3. Plans, billing and renewal

Plans are billed monthly in US dollars, in advance, through our payment processor Stripe. Current prices are shown on the pricing page. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically every month until cancelled. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.

Each plan has a limit of concurrent players across your servers. If you consistently exceed it we may ask you to upgrade.

We may change prices for future billing periods. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before a price change affects you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

If a payment fails, your license may be suspended until the payment is resolved.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your dashboard (Manage billing). Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy at hercules.ac/refunds, which forms part of these Terms.

5. License

While your subscription is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the plugin on servers you own or operate, within your plan's limits.

Your license key is confidential. You may not share, sell, sublicense or publish it, or use one key for networks owned by different people.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify or tamper with the plugin or the Service, except where the law expressly allows it; redistribute or resell the plugin; attempt to bypass license checks or access parts of the Service you are not authorized to use; interfere with, overload or attack our infrastructure; or use the Service for anything unlawful.

Bypass reports must be made in good faith. Do not upload content that is illegal, malicious, or that you do not have the right to share.

7. Detection results

No anti-cheat can detect every cheat, and no detection is infallible. Hercules provides detection results and recommendations; you decide and remain responsible for the actions taken on your server, including bans and other punishments, and for how you treat your players.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, network issues or events outside our control may cause downtime. If the online service is unreachable, your server keeps running.

We may update, improve or change the Service and its detections at any time.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or license if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or in case of fraud, chargeback abuse or activity that puts the Service or other customers at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, the plugin, our detection methods, the website and the Hercules name and logo belong to us. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

If you send us feedback or bypass reports, you allow us to use them to improve the Service without obligation to you.

11. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or players. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you by email or on the website before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where the operator of Hercules resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms: contact@hercules.ac, or open a ticket from your dashboard.
